Anu RangarajanAnu Rangarajan
Vice President, Director, Center for International Policy Research and Evaluation

Anu Rangarajan is an expert in evaluation research and antipoverty policies in the United States and other countries. She has conducted many studies of labor market, education, nutrition, welfare-to-work initiatives, development projects, and other poverty reduction programs.

Rangarajan, who joined the firm in 1989, has overseen studies of programs aimed at alleviating poverty in Africa, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, South America, and other locales. She directs a project to reduce rural poverty in Armenia. She is principal investigator on Mathematica's evaluation of programs to help youth with disabilities transition to adulthood.

Rangarajan’s work has been published in journals such as Demography, Family Planning Perspectives, and the Journal of Human Resources. She has been an officer of the American Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management. She teaches program evaluation at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and has a Ph.D. in economics from Brown University.
