Mary T. Moore
Senior Vice President, Director of Professional and Organizational Development
Mary Moore is a member of Mathematica's senior management team, which is responsible for company vision, leadership, and management.
She also oversees the direction and overall performance of the firm's survey and research divisions, which include both health and human services research. A nationally known expert on education policy, she specializes in programs for at-risk youth, adult education, and education reform.
Moore was a principal investigator for Mathematica’s national evaluation of the impacts of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers' after-school programs. She provided senior advice on the firm’s evaluation of teacher induction programs. Over a period of years, she served as principal investigator for the national evaluation of Upward Bound, assessing program operations and their effectiveness on students' high school and postsecondary outcomes. Some of her other projects include directing an evaluation of the effectiveness of workplace literacy programs and developing indicator reports on the relationship between education and economic productivity.
Before coming to Mathematica in 1991, Moore was a vice president at Decision Resources Corporation in Washington, DC and served as a policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. She is a member of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, has published widely, and presents before Congress, federal and state policymakers, and professional associations. She has a Ph.D. in education from the University of California, Los Angeles.
