Selected Projects Worldwide Reach Africa
Our Mission and ApproachMathematica is a mission-driven organization that is committed to improving public well-being. Our depth and breadth of experience in designing and conducting rigorous evaluations of complex social programs over the past 45 years puts us in a strong position to fill this important research need in the international arena. The Center for International Policy Research and Evaluation (CIPRE) strives to provide high quality and objective research-based information to funders and policymakers focused on tackling major problems around the globe. We work with governments, bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, and nonprofit partners to help assess program impacts and measure results. CIPRE staff conduct various types of research-related activities, including rigorous impact evaluations; qualitative process studies; systematic reviews; and providing technical assistance to develop measurement, evaluation, and learning approaches and to build local capacity in evaluation. We have the capacity and systems to successfully execute and manage large and complex research studies. We work closely and flexibly with funders, stakeholders, and local implementers on all projects to understand their needs and design evaluations accordingly, taking into account the realities of field implementation. Working closely with local implementers and factoring in their needs helps to ensure greater adherence to a program’s intended design. It also helps to build local capacity. |
