To receive funds from the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting program for comprehensive, evidence-based home visiting services, each state must conduct a statewide needs assessment. A number of the grantees participating in the Children’s Bureau Supporting Evidence-Based Home Visiting to Prevent Child Maltreatment grantee cluster prepared needs assessments to plan for implementing or expanding evidence-based home visiting services. In spring 2010, as part of the cross-site evaluation, Mathematica collected data on grantees’ experiences conducting needs assessments. Join us for an informational webinar to share lessons learned on how grantees planned the assessments and collected the data, as well as facilitators and barriers to carrying out the assessments.
