The acronym RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a way for you to have the latest information about Mathematica's research, publications, and related news delivered directly to your computer.
To use RSS, you need a special RSS news reader that allows you to collect and display RSS "feeds." You can download a news reader (many are free) or use a news reader that allows you to add your feeds directly to a webpage—no download required. Either way, the news reader keeps all of your feeds in one place and updates your content automatically.
RSS alerts you when new articles on the topics you're interested in are available. When you get a message about a new article, you can click on a link that will take you directly to it.
Click on the RSS icon. This will give you the location, or url, for the RSS feed. Paste this url into your news reader. Every time news from Mathematica comes out, your reader will alert you to that fact and provide a quick and easy way to connect.
