Mathematica® Appoints Senior Fellows

PRINCETON, N.J. (July 25, 2001)—Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., recently named LaDonna Pavetti and Frank Potter to senior fellow positions. This title is reserved for individuals with nationally recognized expertise in a policy or research area who have established the firm as a leader in a technical or policy area.
Pavetti, a resident of Washington, D.C., is a nationally recognized expert in welfare policy research. She came to Mathematica in 1997 from the Urban Institute. Her expertise on employment strategies for hard-to-employ populations, the implementation of welfare reform, and other issues is widely sought by the policy community. She has a Ph.D. in public policy from Harvard University.
Potter, a resident of Princeton Junction, N.J, has a long and distinguished career as a statistician going back to 1972, having worked in academia, industry, government, and, for 16 years at Research Triangle Institute. Since joining Mathematica in 1996, he has been the senior statistician for many projects with complex statistical designs and has served as a technical resource to other statisticians and researchers at Mathematica and at the Center for Studying Health System Change. He has also chaired the Statistics Section of the American Public Health Association. Potter received a Ph.D. in biostatistics from the University of North Carolina.
