Allison McKie is a senior researcher with expertise in evaluating educational interventions, including teacher incentive programs, and conducting systematic research reviews.

McKie has conducted research on teacher pay-for-performance programs and other topics in educational reform. She was the project director for the Evaluation of the Teacher Advancement Program in Chicago Public Schools, a whole-school reform that combined teacher performance incentives and promotion opportunities with mentoring and professional development. She currently provides technical assistance to Teacher Incentive Fund grantees. Her other current projects include principal investigator for the Evaluation of Strategic Data Use Initiatives and a lead role in the national evaluation of teacher residency programs. She is also a senior researcher on the What Works Clearinghouse, conducting systematic reviews of the research literature and characterizing the effectiveness of a variety of educational interventions. Seifullah also served as a researcher on Mathematica’s evaluations of the Knowledge Is Power Program, charter schools, and teacher preparation models.

McKie regularly presents at conferences of professional organizations, including the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
