Kenneth FortsonKenneth N. Fortson
Senior Researcher

Kenneth Fortson is a senior researcher with expertise in the design and implementation of both experimental and non-experimental evaluations. His work spans several topical areas, including labor, international development, and health research.

Fortson is directing a rigorous evaluation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Account with Armenia, which funds the rehabilitation of irrigation systems in rural Armenia as well as agricultural training programs.

His other current work includes evaluations of the Workforce Investment Act for the Department of Labor, adolescent pregnancy prevention approaches for the Department of Health and Human Services, and cocoa farmer training programs in West Africa for the World Cocoa Foundation. He is also leading a methodological study of non-experimental comparison group methods, funded by the Department of Education.

 

Fortson’s work includes publications in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Monthly Labor Review, and Computational Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University.
