Mathematica Names Johnson Senior Vice President

PRINCETON, N.J. (August 28, 2007)—Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., recently announced the appointment of Amy Johnson as senior vice president. She is also director of the firm's Surveys and Information Services (SIS) Division. An expert in issues related to at-risk youth and teaching and learning, she has played a major role in key welfare and education studies for state and federal clients, including the State of New Jersey and the U.S. Department of Education.

Johnson, a resident of Philadelphia, joined Mathematica in 1997 after completing her Ph.D. in education at the University of Pennsylvania. During the past 10 years, she has served as associate director of SIS and director, Princeton Survey Research. She is currently directing an impact evaluation of teacher induction programs designed to improve retention and support the professional development of new teachers.
