Mathematica Appoints Johnson Vice President

PRINCETON, N.J. (February 9, 2007)—Amy Johnson, director of survey research at Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., has been named vice president. An expert in issues related to at-risk youth and teaching and learning, she has also been instrumental in leadership initiatives throughout the company.

Johnson joined Mathematica in 1997 after completing her Ph.D. in education at the University of Pennsylvania. She has played a major role in key welfare and education studies for state and federal clients, including the state of New Jersey and the U.S. Department of Education. She is currently directing an impact evaluation of teacher induction programs designed to improve retention and support the professional development of new teachers. She has been part of the firm's management team since 2005.
