Mathematica Names Coyne Vice President, Director of Public Affairs Media Advisory: September 17, 2010 Contact: Amy Berridge, (609) 945-3378 Appointment: Mathematica Policy Research recently announced the appointment of Adam Coyne as vice president and director of public affairs. He will focus on strategic communications to enhance the visibility of the organization and its staff and broaden the dissemination of the objective policy research and analysis it produces. Coyne is based in Mathematica’s Princeton, N.J., office. About Adam Coyne: Before joining Mathematica, Coyne was director of public affairs and social media at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He has held senior communications positions at City of Hope National Medical Center, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Coyne also worked with public relations firms such as the Rogers Group and Carl Byoir & Associates on a range of consumer accounts and social marketing campaigns and has taught a course in nonprofit public relations at UCLA. He has a bachelor’s in psychology and communications from Tulane University and is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Among his professional honors and awards, he received the “Most Valuable Professional” award from the Public Communicators of Los Angeles and the “Best PR Program of the Year” from the Los Angeles chapter of PRSA.
