Paul Decker Named President-Elect of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management

PRINCETON, NJ—January 18, 2012—Paul Decker, president and CEO of Mathematica Policy Research, has been named president-elect of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM). Decker, a longtime member of APPAM, has played a leadership role in many capacities within the organization, most recently as co-chair of APPAM’s strategic planning committee. He has served as Mathematica’s institutional representative to APPAM; as a Policy Council member for the past four years; and is also chair of the David N. Kershaw Award Selection Committee, an award in honor of Mathematica's first president, who died of cancer in 1979 at the age of 37. It is presented every two years at the APPAM fall research conference.
