WASHINGTON, DC—March 26, 2012—The Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) and Mathematica Policy Research (Mathematica) released a new report highlighting specific approaches used by five successful Charter School Management Organizations (CMOs) to help improve student achievement. The report, "Learning from Charter School Management Organizations: Strategies for Student Behavior and Teacher Coaching," expands on a previous Mathematica/CRPE report which indicated that CMOs with the greatest positive impact on student achievement were most likely to establish consistent school-wide behavior expectations for students, as well as an intense approach to monitoring and coaching teachers. The latest report offers valuable guidance for schools and districts looking to replicate these promising practices.
