Query Language
The search engine allows queries to be formed from Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:
Smith Research
finds documents containing 'Smith' and 'research'
Smith OR Research
finds documents containing 'Smith' or 'research'
"Smith Research"
finds documents containing 'Smith research'
Survey AND Welfare
finds documents containing both 'survey' and 'welfare'
Welfare NOT California
finds documents containing 'welfare' but not 'California'
(Welfare NOT Health) AND Mathematica
finds documents containing 'Mathematica', plus 'welfare'
but not 'health'
Mathematica*
finds documents containing words starting with 'Mathematica'
