Mathematica Policy Research is launching Evidence in Action, a new blog from the Center for Improving Research Evidence, featuring expert perspectives that bridge the gap between the research community and policymakers, program leaders, and others who work for the public good.
Evidence in Action presents evidence-based viewpoints on timely and important policy topics and on new research, and offers nontechnical commentary on key research methods—all focused on enhancing understanding of the development and use of high-quality evidence. Through written commentary, videos, data visualizations, and other content, Evidence in Action highlights expertise developed over Mathematica’s five decades of pioneering research on some of the most pressing policy issues facing our nation and the world.
As Ann Person, CIRE’s director, notes in introducing the blog, “We hope that the perspectives shared on our blog will contribute to both policies and programs that are more informed by evidence and research that is more relevant and accessible to decision makers.”
