About Katherine

Katherine D’Anello specializes in project management, process analysis and improvement, program implementation, and using data to improve program operations. Her expertise includes developing and managing peer-to-peer learning systems to improve health care quality and lower costs.

D’Anello leads the operation of five learning systems for Medicare Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), working to ensure the quality and timeliness of webinars, in-person meetings, conferences, dashboards, and other learning activities. She uses participant and client feedback to drive continuous quality improvement efforts across the projects. D’Anello also plays a critical role in the development of the curriculum for the Pioneer ACO learning system, which she currently leads. Additionally, she has served in numerous technical assistance and liaison roles on disability, quality measurement, and education projects, working directly with sites to help them understand program rules and testing requirements, and overseen the execution of multiple national conferences for federal clients.

Before joining Mathematica in 2008, D’Anello held positions with Ruchman and Associates, Inc., and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She graduated from George Washington University with an M.P.A. in public-private policy and management and is a certified project management professional (PMP).
