U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology

Technologies to store, share, and analyze health care information are revolutionizing patient care in the United States.

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) facilitates the federal government’s health IT and serves as a resource to the health care system. This project provides evaluation and technical assistance services to advance ONC’s mission of improving the effective use of health IT.

Our research team is engaged in the following:

  • Evaluating partnerships focused on advancing interoperability, care coordination, and community health, as well as supporting health IT workforce training
  • Developing content and hosting events designed for communities of practice
  • Creating knowledge products
  • Providing subject matter expertise
Our mixed-method evaluations include formative feedback to support ongoing refinements and updates to an online toolkit. We are also writing reviews on providers and technologies, case studies and a white paper to support knowledge sharing.
