This report examines characteristics and outcomes for Money Follows the Person (MFP) participants in 25 states who returned to the community before March 2010. The report's findings indicate that reinstitutionalizations were most likely to occur in the first few months after transition, and that participants were more likely to remain in the community but tended to be younger than beneficiaries who transitioned prior to MFP.
