Today’s complex health care environment demands high quality, effective care. To meet these demands, policymakers and health care providers are increasingly relying on comparative effectiveness research (CER) to generate the rigorous evidence necessary to guide medical decisions, while also seeking ways to encourage clinicians and patients to use this evidence. The Center on Health Care Effectiveness (CHCE) is at the forefront of these efforts, conducting and disseminating research and policy analysis to promote the use of CER findings at the point of care. Our research provides valuable insight on the delivery systems and policies that can help clinicians and patients make informed choices on the ground.
