In the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years, the Kauffman School had positive, statistically significant, educationally meaningful impacts on student achievement growth in math, reading, and science.The Kauffman School is a charter school in Kansas City, Missouri that opened in 2011 to serve middle and high school students from the city’s most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods . This report evaluates the effectiveness of the school at improving student achievement, attendance, and discipline outcomes during its first two years of operation.
