About Us

40th Anniversary Report Cover

As Mathematica enters its fifth decade, we celebrate a generation of research, results, and resources represented in the work we have done to help our clients move effective policymaking forward. In health care, disability, education, family well-being, employment, nutrition, and early childhood policy, Mathematica brings the highest standards to bear on its work in the United States and other countries.

Our 40th anniversary report shows how we continue to build on our commitment to the future through innovative efforts such as our new centers, the Center for Studying Disability Policy and the Center for Improving Research Evidence. In addition, Mathematica is playing a role in spreading quality public policy analysis globally through a slate of exciting new international projects described in the report. Mathematica’s uniquely broad perspective on the impact of public policy on the common good starts with the experience of our multi-disciplinary staff. Their wide-ranging expertise allows Mathematica to deliver a full menu of services to our clients, including survey and evaluation design, data collection, statistical services, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and interpretation and dissemination of research findings.

To make the most of this expertise, Mathematica has organized staff into two mutually supportive divisions—Research and Surveys and Information Services.

Mathematica Policy Research and the Center for Studying Health System Change are wholly owned subsidiaries of Mathematica, Inc., which is owned by its employees. We are headquartered in Princeton, NJ, with offices in Washington, DC, Cambridge, MA , and Ann Arbor, MI.

Mathematica is an organizational member of professional associations such as the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management and AcademyHealth.
